Costa Smeralda & La Maddalena
North-eastern Sardinia: paradisiacal beaches, turquoise waters, granite islands. The Costa Smeralda is the Mediterranean's glamour destination — but explored from the sea, what reveals itself most is its untouched nature.
Porto Cervo is the classic base: marina, boutiques, restaurants. From there, in half a day you reach Cala di Volpe, Spiaggia del Principe, the Romazzino coastline. Further north, the Maddalena archipelago is a national park of seven main islands and hundreds of rocks — Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria.
In spring and September, the light is crisp and the rock edges look carved. In August, you plan moorings and timings carefully — but the lesser-known bays are always accessible.
For a full cruise, we leave from Porto Ercole and reach Sardinia via Corsica: two days of transfer through the Bocche di Bonifacio, then a week between Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena and Tavolara.
