Argentario, Giglio & Giannutri
The Tuscan promontory is connected to the mainland by two sand strips — Feniglia and Giannella — enclosing the Orbetello lagoon. A place suspended between land and water, where every cove tells a story.
Not long ago, Argentario was an island. Today it is the perfect base to explore the Tuscan coastline: seaside villages like Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, hidden coves, protected nature reserves.
One hour away, Giglio Island — the Tyrrhenian pearl — with its harbour and the medieval village of Giglio Castello. Giannutri, even smaller, is a marine reserve with grottoes and seabeds among the richest in the Mediterranean.
From May to September, the Argentario light becomes cinematic. Sunset over Feniglia, aperitivo at the Cala Galera pier, an early swim at Cala del Gesso — these are details to be enjoyed slowly, ideally from the sea.
